"This holiday season St. Francis Xavier Catholic High School is once again celebrating a tradition where students face off against teachers in a charitable hockey game to raise funds for the comfort and care of young cancer patients and their families. The game will be held at Bill Hunter on Wednesday, December 20th and we plan to involve our entire school community. 

Our organizing committee has identified the Matt Cook Foundation as the recipients of fundraising efforts in the name of former student Matt Cook, who lost his brave battle with cancer on April 4th, 2010.

The Matt Cook Foundation strives to make the circumstances more comfortable for young adult in-patients fighting cancer, and better for their families as well. We have chosen the name Matt Cook Christmas Classic: Battle at the Bill as Matt Cook was a St. Francis Xavier High School student who embodied the ‘Caritas Christi’ motto of our school by dedicating his life to serving his community."
